Description

Tuna melt patties combine the best of a classic tuna melt sandwich with the convenience of a crispy, cheesy patty. They are easy to make, high in protein, and perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans of tuna (drained)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Drain the canned tuna thoroughly.
  2. In a bowl, mix tuna, shredded cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, and seasonings.
  3. Shape the mixture into small, evenly-sized patties.
  4. If the mixture is too wet, add more breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or side dish.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free panko or crushed rice crackers. To make it keto-friendly, replace breadcrumbs with almond flour.
