Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, adding garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish. Top with half of the ground beef and cheese.
  4. Repeat the layers, then pour the heavy cream over the top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For skillet pasta, brown ground beef in a skillet.
  7. Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
  8. Add pasta and let simmer until tender.
  9. Stir in cheese, let it melt, and serve hot.

Notes

For a healthier version, substitute ground turkey for beef and use low-fat cheese. Adding vegetables like zucchini or bell peppers enhances flavor and nutrition.
