Description

An indulgent, luxurious pasta dish combining a rich Alfredo sauce with tender salmon and shrimp. Perfect for family dinners or special occasions, this recipe delivers bold, satisfying flavors and a touch of elegance.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 salmon fillets, skinless
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil fettuccine pasta in salted water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
  2. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then cook salmon for 4-5 minutes per side until fully cooked. Remove, let cool slightly, and flake into large pieces.
  3. In the same skillet, heat another tbsp of olive oil and sauté shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and reduce heat to low. Gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add pasta, shrimp, and flaked salmon to the saucepan with Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to coat. Use reserved pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
  6. Transfer to a serving platter, garnish with parsley and additional Parmesan cheese, and serve hot.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream or substitute plant-based milk. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy twist or a tablespoon of cream cheese for extra richness.
