Description

A decadent fusion of soft red velvet cake and rich, tangy cheesecake, creating a showstopper dessert for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of red velvet cake mix (or homemade recipe)
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Prepare the red velvet cake batter according to package instructions and pour it into the prepared pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, eggs, flour, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour cheesecake mixture over the red velvet cake layer, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 55–60 minutes or until set; check by inserting a toothpick—if it comes out clean, it’s done.
  6. Allow the cheesecake to cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour, then transfer to the fridge and chill for at least 4 hours.
  7. Once chilled, slice and serve!

Notes

For a homemade red velvet cake, use a traditional recipe with buttermilk, cocoa powder, and food coloring.
