- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm pickle juice
- 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, sugar, salt, dried dill, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Gradually add warm pickle juice and melted butter, stirring to combine.
- Fold in chopped dill pickles and shredded cheese (if using).
- Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Transfer dough to the prepared loaf pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a more intense pickle flavor, use extra pickle juice instead of water.
