- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp milk

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut into 4-inch squares.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spoon a small amount of filling onto the center of each pastry square.
- Fold corners towards the center or leave open for an open-faced Danish.
- Beat the egg with milk and brush edges of the pastry.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly and top with fruit, powdered sugar, or a simple glaze.
