Description

These classic peanut butter cookies are crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and packed with rich peanut butter flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and mix until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on an ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Flatten each ball with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern on top.
  8. Bake for about 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra texture, use crunchy peanut butter. Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
