Description

A delicious, baked version of the classic Philly Cheesesteak, packed with steak, onions, bell peppers, and gooey cheese, perfect for family dinners and meal prep.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ribeye steak or ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups provolone cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Thinly slice ribeye steak or cook ground beef until browned.
  3. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until soft.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Spread the cooked meat and veggies into a greased baking dish.
  6. In a bowl, whisk eggs and heavy cream, then pour over the meat mixture.
  7. Top with shredded provolone cheese.
  8. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a low-carb version, replace onions with scallions and use cauliflower rice instead of bread.
