Description

  • 46 medium apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Golden Delicious, or Fuji)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and slice apples into 1/4-inch slices.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
  3. Stir in brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, salt, and lemon juice until well combined.
  4. Place sliced apples in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over them.
  5. Gently toss to coat apples evenly.
