- 2 ribeye or New York strip steaks
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Slowly pour in bourbon, allowing it to reduce by half while scraping the pan.
- Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Plate the steaks and generously spoon the haunted bourbon garlic cream sauce over them.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra smoky depth, use a smoked bourbon. Pair with garlic mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
