Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Fold in flour, salt, and baking powder gently.
- Pour batter into the baking sheet and spread evenly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and let it cool completely.
- In a chilled bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Trim the edges of the sponge cake for a uniform shape.
- Spread whipped cream over the cake and arrange sliced strawberries on top.
- Roll the cake into a log using parchment paper.
- Slice into sushi-style rounds.
- Drizzle with strawberry syrup or melted chocolate and sprinkle crushed cookies if desired.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
